Earthquake Preparedness Information

With the recent earthquake in Seattle, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, along with the State of California, Office of Emergency Services (OES) would like you to take action and become "Earthquake Prepared." How well you, your family, and your home survive an earthquake often depends upon how well you PREPARE beforehand. Develop a family and neighborhood earthquake plan. The OES Earthquake Program provides planning and technical assistance on various earth-related areas of concern. This program also continues the tradition of writing, publishing, and disseminating excellent materials tailored to prevention and planning prior to a natural disaster. April is California Earthquake Preparedness Month, take some time to prepare!
