Located 4425 Dudley, McClellan, Ca., the Facilities
Division is staffed with five (5) authorized personnel. Because one of the
positions is clerical in nature, the division has four (4) remaining
hands-on employees to address the District’s needs. The Division is
responsible to provide maintenance, repair and remodel services to all fifty
(50) District facilities including, but not limited to, the following
activities: asphalt and concrete patching or replacement, exterior painting,
roof repairs, mechanical systems repair, plumbing, electrical, overhead
door, exhaust extraction, air compressors, generators, title 24 compliance,
flooring, security, fencing, etc., as well as basic to complex remodeling.
After hour emergency services is also provided around the clock.
Through the monthly Facility Safety Inspection Program,
each District facility is required to forward maintenance/repair issues
directly to the Division. Over 2,700 requests for service are processed
annually, of which the following are some examples for 2002….
- 148 exhaust extraction repair requests
- 158 electrical repair requests
- 155 overhead door repair requests
- 215 HVAC requests, 175 to vendor & 40 in house
repairs
- 71 plumbing repair requests
- 89 monthly trips on average to material supply
houses
- 56,600 miles driven collectively by Division staff
annually
Information from these inspections is also used to
develop work schedules, prioritize District wide projects and develop
accurate annual facility budgets.
