Minimum Requirements

            18 years old

            High School diploma or G.E.D.

            EMT Certificate (mandatory)

            Valid Driver’s License      

For the October 2007 recruitment, candidates will be required to have a Paramedic License and one (1) year experience as a Paramedic within the last two (2) years.              

Desirable Qualifications

                                   12 units of college credit   

            Associate of Science Degree in   Fire Science

            Bachelor’s Degree in any field

            Prior Firefighting experience
