Died from a fall from a ladder truck during a drill

Sloughhouse Fire Protection District
Died from electrocution while fighting a grass fire

Carmichael Fire Protection District
Died of a heart condition after fighting a structure fire
   
Ronald J. Harknett, Jr. February 17, 1987
Rancho Cordova Fire Protection District
Died of drowning while trying to recover the bodies of two individuals in the Sacramento River
