Woman In Critical Condition After Mobile Home Fire

0208 am 7401 Azimuth Ln Citrus Heights Ca. Sacramento Metro Firefighters responded to a report of a mobile home fire. When Firefighters arrived they found a family of three in front of a doublewide mobile home that was on fire.

The Firefighters extinguished the fire that was heavily involved in the living room area. Metro Paramedics started treatment on a 56 year old female that was not breathing at the time of arrival. It was reported by the husband that the patient was sitting down in a chair in the front room to have a cigarette. The smoke detector went off waking up both the husband and the 18-year-old daughter. They both went to exit the home when they saw the patient staggering out of the front room. When they escaped the fire the woman collapsed in front of the home.

The patient was transported to Mercy San Juan Hospital and is listed in critical condition. The husband and daughter had no injuries from the fire. Both husband and daughter indicated that they were alerted of the fire by the home smoke detector.

Fire Investigators are on scene and have questioned the family. It is believed that the fire started in the chair were the woman was sitting having a cigarette. Structure Damage $20,000. Contents $30,000
