0141 AM Metro Engine #11 responded to Front Street for a report of a
commercial structure fire. Engine #111 arrived and reported heavy smoke
and flame coming from the historical watering hole Lewey G'S. Engine #117
and Sacramento City Engine #17 arrived to assist in the firefighting
operations. The fire destroyed the attic and contents of the
establishment. It was reported that two youths were witnessed running from
the area just after the fire started. Arson investigators do not have any
suspects at this time. The firefighters stayed on scene for three hours
mopping up the hot spots.
