Arson Fire At Cordova Meadows Elementary

Just after 10:00 PM Metro Fire was dispatched to another report of fire at Cordova Meadows Elementary School In Rancho Cordova. When Engine #61 arrived they reported a working fire in a preschool office building attached to a classroom. The fire was quickly contained keeping the damage to mainly the office portion of the building. This is the fourth fire of this nature in the last four months. Metro Fire Investigators have ruled all of the previous fires to be arson. The last fire in April caused significant damage to a second grade classroom. The previous fires caused severe damage to classrooms and an outbuilding. At this time no suspects have been apprehended. The Sacramento Sheriffs Department have partnered with Metro Fire and the community to catch the person or persons responsible for these crimes.
