Last night, Tuesday, June 11, Metro Fire Arson Investigators took in three suspected arsonists in the area of White Rock Road and Prairie City Road in Rancho Cordova.

A motorist was following a suspicious passenger vehicle and witnessed an incendiary device being thrown out the vehicle's window and starting a grass fire. The motorist then called 911. Metro Fire Investigators followed up and made a vehicle stop. They arrested 18-year-old Tristan Jones, 19-year-old Frederick Porras, and a 17-year-old juvenile female.

All three were arrested on suspicion of committing arson in a wild land. The two adults were booked into the Sacramento County Jail and the female was booked into Juvenile Hall. Arson Investigators will continue to question and check past history of all the suspects.

At this time, it is unknown whether these suspects will be linked to the rash of arson fires in the Bradshaw-Florin area in the last week.
