Two Alarm Fire Damages Auto Repair Shop On Fulton Ave

At 5:51 P.M. An employee from Lexus

 Of Sacramento reported a fire at Sacramento Auto Experts located at 2609 Fulton Ave.  Metro Fire Engine 101 arrived and reported a working fire in the automotive repair shop.   

A second alarm was sounded bringing a total of 27 Firefighters to the scene to battle the fire.  The fire was quickly brought under control keeping the structure intact.  Most of the damage was in the rear of the building in the repair shop portion of the structure.

investigators determined the fire to have started from a battery charger malfunction.  When the malfunction occurred flammable liquids near the battery charger fueled the fire.  Estimated loss was placed at $ 250,000 with structural and contents.  In addition 14 customer vehicles were inside the shop and sustained some damage
