At 1:08 A.M. Metro Firefighters responded to 7682 Harvest Woods Drive in the Community of Florin for a report of a Duplex fire. E53 arrived and reported a fully involved attic of a one story Duplex. Firefighters contained the fire keeping most of the damage to one unit and the attic area of the Duplex. A Sacramento Fire Department Firefighter fell through the roof when he was making his way to an area to cut a ventilation hole. The Firefighter was very lucky that he sustained minor injuries from the fall. He was transported to a local hospital and released. Cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage to the Duplex is $70,000 for the structure and $15,000 for contents. The family will be displaced until repairs can be made. Assistance was provided from the Sacramento Fire Department.
